I too have installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my laptop besides xp. Since then I am struggling to connect to net with my USB dial up modem by tata indicom. If you could help me on that, it would be real nice. As i could figure out, my system is not recognizing the dial up modem at present, it does not configure the wvdial.conf file.
